Some people come into your life as blessings. Some come into your life as lessons – Mother Teresa

Biography

I feel privileged and humbled being a part of the therapeutic alliance when working with individuals, couples, and families who are willing to share their most difficult issues affecting their lives. Many blessings and life’s lessons are learned through the disclosure of challenges and personal problems in a professional counseling environment. My focus in therapy is a cooperative problem solving partnership. This can assist with moving individuals through a healing process that promotes positive health and well-being.

I have an extensive background in the counseling field, working with many diverse populations. I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions. In my life’s journey, I was part of the military family for twenty years. This experience provided me with an understanding of the strengths and stressors related to this lifestyle, including the repercussions related to PTSD symptoms. Other areas of expertise include: working with trauma survivors, mood disorders including anxiety and depression, stress management, working with people with disabilities, grief counseling, older adults and caregiver related stress, career counseling, and assessment.

I am currently accepting new patients. Call (618) 314-4894 to make an appointment today.
